Call for Applications: CEDI Phase IV – Accelerated Program 

 Cando and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities are pleased to launch a call for an additional six new First Nation – municipal partnerships to participate in  Cohort 3 of the First Nation – Municipal Community Economic Development Initiative (CEDI) Phase IV – Accelerated Program. 

Who Should Apply? 

The Accelerated CEDI Program is a good fit for First Nations and municipalities who have:  

  • Pre-existing government-to-government relationships  
    • i.e., councils meet annually, staff to staff relationships, successful service agreements, collaborative community events, inclusive representation on local boards, etc.  
  • Preliminary ideas for collaborative community economic development initiatives. 
    • i.e., identified areas of shared interest or opportunity that align for both communities’ priorities and capacity

Deadline to apply is Friday, September 26th, 2025, 11:59pmMT.
