Call for Applications: CEDI Phase IV – Accelerated 2-Year Program 

Cando and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) are pleased to announce that the Call for Applications for eight new First Nation – Municipal partnerships to participate in the First Nation-Municipal Community Economic Development Initiative (CEDI) has been extended to Friday, September 26th, 2025, 11:59pmMT. 

Who Should Apply? 

The Accelerated 2-year CEDI Program is a good fit for partnerships of 1 First Nations and 1 municipality who have:  

  • Pre-existing government-to-government relationships  
    • i.e., councils meet annually, staff to staff relationships, successful service agreements, collaborative community events, inclusive representation on local boards, etc.  
  • Preliminary ideas for collaborative community economic development initiatives. 
    • i.e., identified areas of shared interest or opportunity that align for both communities’ priorities and capacity

Deadline to apply is Friday, September 26th, 2025, 11:59pmMT.
